SafeCrete blocks are available in a range of sizes.  Wall thickness should be selected based on thermal and structural requirements. All blocks conform to ASTM standards. SafeCrete AAC blocks can be used structurally up to six stories..

Labor-saving specialty blocks are also available. Purchase cored block to reduce on-site drilling for vertical reinforcement. At minimum, vertical cores are required on each side of openings, and in corners. Additional reinforcement is required for exceptionally long or tall walls, walls below grade, or certain wind and seismic conditions.

The u-block is a specialty item that reduces on-site cutting for bond beam and lintel construction.  The trough allows for easy insertion of steel reinforcement, after which the hollow space is filled with concrete. A bond beam is required at the top of each story. Some regions may require additional bond beams at mid-level, or every four feet. Please consult your engineer for local requirements.
